Default open end lugs for extended studs

i got myself some skunk2 extended lug studs for cheap but haven't had a chance to put them on since i don't have any open end lugs. what would you guys recommend? i know a lot of people use Kyokugen but i also heard they were pretty shitty. the skunk2 lugs are supposidly crappy too i think. any suggestions?

also do i really NEED to weld the studs? i know i won't be making any more then 180whp..

These look nice

I have the axes but run a cheap old Honda open end ones most off the time!

O and the skunk2 studs suck yes you have to weld them in the knurl is to small and if you don't weld them they will spin in the hub. Also if you do use them make sure you chase the threads with a die because the threads on most of them are bad.

I would save the headache and get a set of ARP $30 for 8

I agree, skunk 2 studs are shitty. The threads will decide to seize up out of nowhere after a while. I'd get some arp's, whatever knurl size they have that's a 12 x 1.5 thread. Drill the hub for whatever knurl size you bought and then tack weld them in a few spots on each stud. That's what i would do anyway...

Skunk2 lug nuts are ok, the studs suck. I use ARP extended studs (summitracing just got a shipment) and skunk2 lug nuts. very light.

I've heard that you can use Chevy Studs too, and that they are like an 1 to 1 1/2" longer than stock... Anybody heard of this?

Inlinefur.com has them listed in the whats new section.

I know EF8_Fan has some sets (just make sure he does not sell you mine)
