May sound cheesy but Rotas on a S....any pics
I know everyone here is ballina nd what not, and ride with Volks but I have more important things in mind like boost but at the same time would love some wheels, I have rotas on my rex and thought maybe they would look decent on an S. What do you all think?
I think they do not sell them in correct offsets...if I see a Rota that I like and it' lighter than stock, I think I would buy it and put it on my S...who cares right? It's my car and I can do what I want to it....
They would look the same as the black spoons right? There are pics of a silver S2k with the spoons around. The guy from Glendale that keeps getting banned had em.
rota slipstreams? sure..they look "similar" to the spoonies, but the offset will be off. rota's are usually +40mm offset.. S2000's are not. I've never seen an S with Rota's.. They are nice rims though for the price. I have a set on my Civic and although heavy, I like them quite a lot.

Yes, you can get Rota slipstreams in decent offsets. They offer them in 16x7, at a +45 offset (this is Spoons offset for the front, along with +35, and for the rear). The only downside is, they dont make staggered widths. But you could use them if you really wanted to.

The Regamasters (painted black they are called Spoon wheels for some reason) are a very sketchy offset. Actually the fronts are a 6" wide wheel which is narrower than stock and is the reason such a low offset -> marginally <- works. However many owners reportedly shave metal off their calipers for these wheels to clear. Doesn't sound like very good fitment does it? Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that all of the Spoon-prepped S2000 "Racecars" use Work S2R's not the Regamasters that everybody calls Spoon wheels.
Remember that changing the wheel width will proportionally change the offset. So a 16x7 +45 relative to the "Spoon Wheel" isn't even the same fitment. A 16x7+45 will NOT FIT ON THE REAR OF AN S2000. It would stick out a good half inch when shod with stock sized rubber.

HUH? 16x6 on the front? I'm running 16x7 on the front with +35 offset (for Spoon calipers) and 16x8 on the rear with +45 offset. Because of the low offset, the front does stick out a bit with the stock tire size (205/55/16). The rears are flush with the fender also running stock tire size (225/50/16).

Thanks for the correction, however Spoon uses Work Emotion CR on their "race cars"
