Default Me and Cops once again

Well I just got pulled over once again. I was in our X5 with my whole family in the car on our way to my dad's B-day dinner. As I was driving my sister was making fun of me for getting pulled over on this same road 4yrs ago for "speeding." Suddently lights turn on and I'm pulled over!!!!!!!
The cop came over and asked why I was pulled over. I said no idea? He said you know the speed limit here? I said yeah 30mph. He said well you were going 45mph when I was behind you and you also rolled through a stop sign! I said your kidding because I did no such actions. He said yeah when you ran the stop sign you looked right at me!!!!! I said well if I looked right at you then why would I have "ran" the stop sign. He said ummmm I'll brb back. About 10min later he comes over and ask's me to step out of the car. I said um ok. So I walk over and he says he ticketing me for running the stop sign and not for speeding.

Anyway I got the ticket, yet I'm fighting it of course. Their is no way to run the stop sign in our X5! Why you ask? It's a stick shift!!!!! With that gear ratio and that tranny I would have popped the whole 1st gear and made the car jump with my family in it!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dammit I hate cops!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear I attract the stupidest cops. At least once a year I'm harrassed some how by cops! Remember me getting arrested for "racing"???? Yeah I ended up getting both of the officers badges taken for 2yrs!!!!!! hahahaha fu@kers......

Oh well looks like I have another battle on my hands.

I hate stupid a$$ cops who try to act all authoritative. I have been pulled over twice in the last month for bs reasons:

1) My exhaust "Looks" illegal. --IT'S THE STOCK ITR EXHAUST!!!!-- what an idiot cop..

2) Speeding -- 30 in a 30! The cop had to go back and look at the speed limit sign! He was like "I'm sorry for the inconvenience".. I was like "I'm sorry you don't know the speed limit."

How ridiculous are these police... I tell you, I'm with Mike, if anything like this happens again, or if they try to get me for "racing", I'll have their badge the next day.

your X5 is a stick shift? Do you have the 6 or 8? I had no idea they made X5s with stick, did you get something special done or something?

On Blaney!!!!!! Can you believe that!!!!!! What BS

Anyway, yeah the X5 is a stick shift. We custom ordered it. Its a 6 with the stick and sports package. According to the mags. the stick 6 is qucker then the 8 when the stick has the sports package with the higher rev limit, etc...

Anyway, yeah I'm still pissed off. I can't believe that I was pulled over for that. I would expect this to happen to me if I was in my car, but in a X5!!!!!!! Come on, do cops have nothing better to do then bust me for BS stuff. I mean come on. Would I really run a stop sign with my whole family in the car? And speed down a street that I know is cop infested? And would I really look at the cop as I was running the stop sign? I just love the fact that's its impossible to get the car into 1st without stopping. Oh well I just can't believe I'm gonna have to waist me time once again to make a cop look stupid in court.

As for my incident fron earlier this year, well I'll post that huge story later on.... Trust me its the worst case of cop harrassment you will ever hear.

I seems that for whatever reason the 3.0 5 speed X5 isn't getting such great reviews from magazines.
The 4.4 X5 does the 1/4 mile in 15.3, are you sure the 3.0 5 speed is faster?

the fine for rolling a stop sign is much higher than that of speeding. He didn't like the lip you were giving him so he told you bend over and spread em!!! That sucks. Good luck fighting it, it's always a hassle! sheesh, those no fun cops!

yeah I'm sure. Its bairy faster. EX: sport 5sp 3.0 X5 0-60 is .1sec faster then the sport V8 auto X5.

Personally I like the V8 because of the trq, however own a auto in this house is grounds for getting your a$$ kicked. lol

But yeah the cop hated me. I wasn't being a ******* till he said that I looked right at him when I ran it. Um ok!!!!!!!! Yeah I'm gonna run a stop sign while looking at a cop!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!

Anyway hopefully I will build up a good case for it like I did for the last incident. I have numberous driving school certificates, racing certificates, etc... I have not have a ticket in over a a year or two. I want to traffic school sometime last year for a ticket I got a long time ago. Also I had my family in the car, not to mention rolling a stop sign going 3mph (as indicated on the ticket) is impossible without jumping the intersection. Not to mention that I belive that their was a car in front of me!!!!! Oh yeah and according to the cop where he was sitting and the time of day the sun would have been in his face, so seeing a 3mph "roll" is kinda hard. Yet I still didn't run it!!!!! WHY THE HELL WOULD I RUN A STOP SIGN AND SPEED AFTERWARDS WITH MY WHOLE FAMILY IN THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt you will have there badge the next day, or any day for that matter. Lets face it, police officers are human beings just like you and me, and there gonna have bad days from time to time. There are good cops and bad cop's. It is very hard to get a police officers badge due to a judgement call on there part. Sure if they made a racist comment or talked about your mother then you would have a case to build but when they issue you a ticket based on there judgement no matter how ridiculous it is the judge can basically throw it out and be done with it.

Short of a Civil Rights violation... or a cop already on administrative probation, it's hard to get a cop fired for ******' the Chief's daughter... not to mention for just a bad call on a traffic stop. Even a bad arrest will get them no more than a "note" in their personnel files if it was done in "good faith". You have to prove malicious intent... It's called their Civil Service Union...

SOrry to hear about the ticket mike.

I had some bs happen to me a few weeks ago.

I was just wondering, how fast would my car be going if i vtec'd from a stop sign to say 7000RPM? I got a cop saying that i was doing 35+ in a 25. And he was standing next to his bike with some of his other gay buttloving buddies. He jumped out of the road and told me to stop. He said i was traveling at unsafe speeds, and i asked him how he knew i was going 35+, he didnt have radar and he wasn't able to pace my speed with him behind me or anything, he was a biker cop.

This is the main reason why i went back to stock, in cali cops are freakin **** avengers. Nothing better to do than to harass kids driving hondas with exhausts.

After reading the civil union thing, is there any way for me to get him on calling me a stupid son of a bitch right when he came up to my car, and also telling me that i can't see. It's a long story heh.

Or, even more common, the judge can basically take the cop's word over yours and stick you with a conviction.

yellow blur, unless you recorded him saying that **** to you then you're wasting your time even bothering. but it sucks that the guy was that much of an *******. i live in NJ but i got pulled over in a loaner in CA and hauled to their station to make sure the car wasn't stolen or something. it happens.

hey Rturbo0717.... maybe the cops are busting your ***** because you take credit for having two of them suspended for two years, which I cannot believe since my father is a cop. No judge, boss, politician would give him as much as a warning or disciplinary note for pulling you over for racing if you had a Type R whether you were doing it or not, unless you were literally abused in some way. I mean it's unfortunate that you got inconvenienced by the cop who thought you went through the stop sign, but he's just trying to keep the people who aren't as responsible as you from killing people with their big trucks. He doesn't know that you're a responsible driver, he knows what he thinks he saw. Fight the ticket, but don't try to get the guy suspended for it. Worse comes to worse, you'll pay a court fee and be out of there. Then maybe the cops won't be on your *** for anything. Just my opinion.

And to everyone else, if you stay out of the cops' ways they usually stay out of yours. If you hit VTEC in a residential neighborhood and blow someone's hairpiece off with the soundwaves alone, you're gonna get nabbed. With a car that screams for a ticket it's wise to keep a lower profile than usual. What's the point of hitting VTEC if you're only planning on going 25 mph. I'm not trying to flame anyone, but I hate when my dad gets **** because he's one of the good guys. That's life though.

Yeah, well I got a black eye, busted lip and bruised cheek bone from some over-sealous NYC detectives after a 120mph blast with them chasing me in an unmarked ford windstar. I thought they were jackers! Not freakin cops. I'm still in court with this. And for those "I'll have their badge the next day" guys. HA! Thats a laugh. This happened 18 months ago and not ONE of those cops that beat me up has had even a paid supension day. NO DISCIPLINARY ACTION AT ALL!!! And I took polaroids of my face with my lawyer to the chief of police in their precienct. Wanna know the cheifs reply? "Save it for the judge!". Cops will do and always have done as they please. That is why there is nothing worse than a crooked cop! Because they are above the law. The only saving grace is that they're human. And therefore vulnerable to many human misfortunes.

hey are you the one who got their ITR impounded or was that someone else... and damn you gotta watch for those NYC cops... they don't take any **** from anyone because if they're soft on the job they get killed... they're out of control sometimes... we were parked in my friend's car that got hit by a cab and we got a parking ticket and the guy wouldn't even write a police report.... man like i said before, you just gotta stay out of the way....

Why don't you check with the Santa Clara County Municipal Court. I believe the case number is 354872. It’s called police harassment, illegal search and seizure, wrongfull arrestment (I forget the exact term), violation of the Miranda act, some term for falsifying a police report, withholding information, should I continue?

These cops deserved what they had coming to them. I did nothing at wrong. I was wrongfully arrested & withheld for 3hrs, illegally fingerprinted, searched, etc.... After I was let go later on since they had nothing on me, they wrote up a report which claimed that they only had me withheld for 45min. Little did they realize that I had witnesses up the street, cell phone bills with showed the exact times I made calls per my story to the judge, etc... In addition, the cops made up a false police report with didn't show any of this. Thank god the witnesses and marks on my wrists, etc... showed the proof to the judge. They were suspended for 2yrs and have to attend some school to reevaluate them to be sheriffs once again. I also have printouts from the Internal affairs division, etc... if you would like copies. Moreover, no I don't brag about it. All I'm doing is showing that if something really bad happens to you with the cops and you feel that your rights as a citizen were violated, then press charges and go to the internal affairs division of your county. And no the cop that pulled me over didn't do it because of this. We were in a completely separate county and I know for a fact that my record shows no proof of this. I have two friends who are with the police and another friend who is with the 911 dispatch. All of them checked my record for me and saw no information of the court case, etc...
