Default Short shifter question for racing.

I have a 88 CRX HF with a B18A1 swap, and I need to learn to shift quicker. I assume a short shifter kit would help alot. But I'm not sure which one to get. I'm leaning towards the B&M (because of price), but I've heard the Skunk2 is nice also. I've also heard that the B&M shifter is straight, unlike the Skunk2 which is curved. So you have to reach a little to shift (with the B&M).

I hope all this jargon made sense Does anyone have the B&M short shifter, and is it true you have to lean forward a little to reach the shifter? And do you guys really notice a big difference with your short shifters? Thanks for the replies.
