Default Wait wait wait wait wait, THIS is fuel injected?

I took out my "Throttle Body" today to clean it out, didn't get to cleaning it but I looked it over. I swear it looks like a friggin carb! All the way down to the choke? What the difference between a throttle body like this and a carb? Its almost looks like I can put my Weber on it!

um... carb is low pressure venturi fuel mixin stuff..

throttle body controls the air flow while the fuel rail and injectors control fuel

your car is a dpfi car, i dont know much about carbs so i dont know how it works, but on your car it is like i said dual point fuel injected, which means you have 2 injectors, there is a vacuum diaphram on the back that opens and closes the top butterfly for gas mileage purposes i believe and then there is another butterfly at the bottom

For the DPFI it had sort of an odd TB and then under that is a chute with 2 injectors that just spray gas down into the manfold, really shitty system.

Dont waste time with a carb cause that intake runners are to small to move much air. MPFI and Si or aftermarket cam would be cheap and help out a lot. Carbs are fun on old school muscle cars not on street driven imports
