Fastest n/a SOHC in Canada
What is the fastest n/a SOHC Civic in Canada you have ever heard of?
Mostly concerned with the 96+ Civic EKs
Doesn't have to be exact, just approx.
Only concerned with 1/4mile times
Just wondering what I have to beat...
Thanks

I have no idea about Canada.... but I think mid 11's is the fastest for a NA SOHC. Cant remember who it is though... but mid 11's on a SOHC!!!... get ready to pull out the pocketbook.. better yet the axe cuz this is gunna cost you an arm and a leg.
All motor SOHC in 10's?? WTF?? I dont think so man.. Seesh... going N/A on a SOHC running anything under 13 is impresive enough. If you can get anywhere close to that then I give you much props. How fast is your current car? If you think going into 11's or 10's is even possible for you then you must either have lots of money or at least 20 sponsers. Do you have any idea how much it'll cost you to build a SOHC N/A to competion level? Even if you had the money... you'd need to find someone to build it. 10's N/A on a SOHC .. I doubt it.
it costs alot to make any engine go 10' or 11's or even 12's, and that applies to just about all cars including v8's the faster you wanna go the more your gonna spend. its just the way it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the faster u go... the more stuff breaks!
if u are contemplating going all motor with a sohc... iwould seriously reccommend getting a dohc swap... ull spend far too much money on the sohc that u could have spent on a dohc and go faster for the same amount of money... not to mention being more reliable...
this is my opinion

my bad, I was totally wrong on what I said about the 10 second SOHC...
I read an article a few days ago about a crx with a fully built H22 swap and got my info all mixed up... I owe u a
I'm not trying to get any kinda times like those, I am aiming for 13s
As far as I know, nobody in Vancouver (where I live) has even really opened up a SOHC yet (but I may be wrong, which is why I made this post)
So basically my question is, has anybody ever heard of a SOHC in Canada that has run the 1/4 mile in less than 13.xx seconds?

There is a 10 second all motor D-series CRX running in all the races. He's an African guy named Bizi Ezhara something...Yes, it's a d-series running high 10 second all motor, I bullshit you not...I'll have to find pics and specs somewhere...I recorded an IDRC race on Speedvision that featured his car.
Save the time, it's in SCC. Fastest time to date is 11.40 @ 121mph, using 2000cc of displacement and 15:1 compression ratio. Redlines at 8800 rpm, makes 215hp and 170 tq to the wheels.
that 11 sec crx that Bizi got is really on a budget. the secret is that he does all the work himself and all the parts are custom made by him BIZIMOTO.
No the secret to his car is the weight. It weighs maybe 1500lbs with him in it. Perhaps less. Have you ever seen his roll cage? If you want a cage be like him, and have your local muffler shop use there piping for it. Just dont crash because it wont hold up worth crap. It looks funny as hell. And yes it is a 2.0 liter, and yes its fast, and no it isnt cheap to build cars that fast.
BTW like the other guy said, fastest times is in the 11's.
