I know people running 225/50 on a stock rim.
Why not go for that?

Are any of you guys running 215/50/15 tires on your stock rims? Do they fit fine on the rim? How about rubbing problems? My car is lowered about 2 inches, will the 215's give me any trouble?

I'm thinking about trying the Perilli P7000's. What else should I consider?

215-50-15 actually preserves the speedometer ratio better than 205-50-15.

Some 215's will fit on stock ITR rims, but some manufacturers recommend their 215 tyres on 6.5 as the minimum. You will have to check the specs for the tyre brand you're interested in.

You will also find that there are many fewer tyre choices in 215 than there are with 205.

I ran 215's on my stock ITR rims before I went with the Spoon 16's, and they did just fine. However, the P7000 would not be my first choice.

As for rubbin' problems, you've thrown the cards in the air with your 2" lowering. Can't help with that. I still can't figure out why people lower ITR's. (Of course, I'm assuming you're talking about an ITR because you're in the ITR forum.)
Actually his name would lead me to believe he has a 99 LS but I could be wrong. People Lower there Itr's for the same reason people lower there LS'. Because they feel like it! Understand now.
