How hard is it to port and polish a header? I assume I need a welding machine which I can get cheap, but what else would I need? I have a Dremel which could probably do it right?

Anything else I am forgetting?

you can TIG weld?

you'll also need a large heat sink, so you don't warp the flange with the intense heat of TIG welding.

also, it's pretty tight on the back side of the primary and the flange itself, hope you have a small torch.

If you are talking about the factory manifold, get it extrude honed. If you have porting/polishing experience you could do that too, though.

 

Just get an SMS header..don't waste your time..
