do u mean DUH keep it covered .. or duh to the 2nd response? cuz honda dealerships like all dealership are operated by humans (meaning weakness and error). ive only heard this method of stealing hondas on s2000s cuz the key has a transponder that sends signals to the ECU.

that's why you should invest in "The Club" and the lock for the clutch. It's a hassle to put on and take off every time, but it'll help.

they usually dont check reg. at least lexus doesnt.... my brother owned a lexus which he sold to some girl, she decided to not pay him for the car... my bro gave me the repo job. i went to lexus and ordered the key.... no questions asked. it was ready for me in 2 days.
I've heard about this happening years ago. People would take your VIN#, then go to the dealership and just tell them they lost a key, and they would then just get one made right there
i'm thinking about going to the JY and get another vin# plate and put it over mines. so when the thieves go get the key and come back that **** won't work. haha
it is against the law to cover your vin or not have one visible from the outside of the car i have a ticket to prove it, though i just have to get a new one and it must be riveted in CA, law anyway i have a custom dash and my old roomate threw
it away before i had the chance to transfer it... expencive mistake

Then you deserve it.
Then you deserve it.
i'm sure you could still get the plate #, go down to the DMV and see which car it's registered to (VIN and all). Maybe I'm wrong on this, but my guess is they have all that on file down there. *shrug*
