Default inline pro manifold + tial 35mm wastegate

i have a 99 integra with a b18B , inline pro manifold and a tial 35 mm wastegate... when i put the vacume line fitting on the top of the wastegate i cant close the hood.. does anyone else have this problem? what is the solution? put an elbow before the wastegate and turn it on its side? or am i missing something?

first off you only need the top fitting if you are using an electronic boost controller. If not, you can just remove it. If you are using an EBC, you will need to either replace that fitting with a brass elbow nipple (you can find these are hardware or autoparts stores) or "clearance" the hood. Worst case scenero, use an elbow, but I'd do it the other ways first if possible.

im using a manual boost controller, so i dont put that fitting on the top?

i really dont want to put the wastegate on its side, it looks really good up straight, and my dump tube is already made, and would have to be changed

Finally putting that stuff to use?

Anyway, you're gonna have to "clearance" the hood like Vaportrail said if you don't want to change the way you have it mounted now...

When my tial was sitting standing up on my rev hard manifold with 2 flanges so it pointed the right way, I had to "clearance" the hood a nice chunk of the skeleton is now gone......

Eventually I got the elbow cut and rewelded so the wg is on its side... much better option and no more rubbing. Tials are the ****, they wont spike or act funky on their sides.. its not a god damn delta gate for cryin out loud :D
