Im really having trouble deciding between a 99 eclipse gst and the 99 prelude which one do you guys think?

 

You come to a prelude forum and expect us to say eclipse??

 

yes it is kinda naive to ask our opinion on an eclipse, BUT...the eclipse is obviously gonna have more potential to go fast, however the prelude is a much much better built car. basically i would feel much more comfortable going 140 in a prelude as opposed to an eclipse, eventhough it might take longer to get there.

true, and to give u my honest opinion, my cousin had a 95 gst, and that thing was a rattle box. As soon as the prelude sh came out, he picked it up and he loved that car, no problems and the QUALITY way f#$#%^% higher. Just my honest opinion. Besides, that turbo in there is going to kick your insurance to the roof, as for the prelude it won't be THAT bad. And seriously, why would you ask about an eclipse in a prelude->honda forum...

Just get the prelude.

An Eclispe GST is quick, but they fall apart faster than a Prelude. I'd go with a Prelude, as long as its a 5spd

Eclipse will be faster...I think the prelude looks better.

 

I have a friend who works at a mitsubishi dealership and he says that the eclipse is a complete POS. There is always something wrong with them that cant be fixed. I also had a friend who owned one until his flywheel shot through his transmission and cut his brake and fuel lines causing the car to catch fire. He almost died because of it. I would say go with a manual prelude.
