Default Master cylinder swap?

Well my master cylinder on my 96accord has pooed out on me. I've read of people upgrading to other MC, but i was wondering if one out of a 95 lude vtec would work fine. Its a great price and its at the closest junkyard to my house. I have F&R disc brakes so thats no worry. The lude one had only 28K miles on it so i know its still in good condition. So will it bolt right up or no?

Wish I knew. I have to replace mine also. I hear that when it craps out that the seal in it is broken causes pressure loss. I am just going to try and fix mine instead of paying a mechanic $400 to replace it. If the part is the same size and has the same bolt holes as the Prelude then it should fit.

check part numbers to be 100%. Is your life worth saving a couple bucks?

when you replace make sure to replace the slave at the same time.

When it's my money, yes! rofl
I'm not going to even think twice about having a shop do my replacement.

I think it will fit, but it will only change pedal feel, not stopping power.

There is only a slave cylinder for the clutch, no brake slave cylinder.

if you do try it and find it works, can you measure and document the swap? I'd be interested if this is a larger MC upgrade.

btw, do you have ABS or not? i believe all 5th gen accords w/ ABS used one MC while non-ABS accords used a diff MC.
