Default B16 bottom with GSR head?

Just curious to know if anyone has this setup and what are the advantages or disadvantages?

I am not a big fan of the GSR intake manifold. I guess if you purchase a Skunk2 manifold or modify an R/b16 manifold, you will be stuck with it. A friend of mine here in Florida used to run a B16 block with GSR head and it was strong, although the head was a bit warped and he ended up junking it for a B18c5/gsr combo. If you are in the process of building a GSR block or LS/CRV, it should keep you happy until the project is done.

The GS-R head has a smaller combustion chamber, which will increase compression by a tad.

If you're going to do that, then you should do the following:

Spoon 1-piece headgasket (also increases compression)
Skunk2 or modified ITR intake manifold
