Distributor and Timing Please Help me
I took my distributor out completely. I replaced the rotor and then i re-installed the distributor. My car won't idle unless it's cold and it will idle at about 1,500 rpm. When the car is warm it will idle at 500 rpm or less and than eventually die. When it's warm i'm unable to get the timing mark to appear with my timing light. I can't get the timing right and i need help on how to get it working correctly.
Ok first make sure you short the service connector under the
passenger side dash. It's the same one you use to check the
CEL. Next make sure all assecories in the car are turned off.
And last make sure you have the inductive pickup on the number one
cylinder spark plug wire. It's the cylinder closest to the crank pully.
timming should be set at 15 degrees before top dead center.

I can't even get the car to idle above 500 rpms. Jago hit me up on aim when you see this post. My name on aim is: Elnoyl. I have the paperclip in the jumper and no matter what i do i can't get the car to idle correctly and it eventually dies.
