Well you have to look at what kind of car they have. Power to weight ratio, driver ability and where there making power in the rpm makes alot of difference. So you can't really go by that. But from me you'll get the FI vote.

if a 400 whp turbo car is getting beat by a 230 whp all motor car... either like the dude above said, power to weight ratio's a bitch, or your turbo buddies simply can't drive for ****.

Your in a FI section so were all for turbo. I've seen all motor beat turbo cars before but that is on the track. Get on the street and the turbo will eat the allmotor up.

I was thinking of doing all-motor in my car, but after I took a ride in my buddies hatch (84MM LS/vtec, RH equal length, precision SC61, PWR IC, AEM EMS, quaiffe) it made me want a 400 WHP daily driver

kinda depends on how quick you really want to go, you could probably go all motor pretty cheaply and run 13s pretty easily, but if you want to be the ****, go turbo, build the engine, and run 12s or maybe 11s, got to have the right car too of course, you can run 13s pretty easily in a crx with lsvtec or b20 or something, many possibilities.

Do you want torque or super high end hp?

If just the second option go allmotor.

If you want both ALOT, go turbo

driving a turbo honda with lots of power is like riding a crazy *** rollercoaster ride, except you don't have to wait in line for 2 hours and you can boost whenever you want!

Quarter miles times do not mean everything.

Even a Fast almotor car feels weak on the street untill you get it up in the RPMs , A boosted car just feels so much faster , Plus it will make more torque at 3000Rpms than the "Almotor" car any where.

Comparing Ericks Racing 'Civic' race car to a streetable 400Hp street car is insane.

Most allmotor cars are stripped to hell, They make no torque,so to make up for it you end up having a shell , with one seat and a load exhaust. That gets old real quick.

I have driven and built almost even comination , Driving an "Almotor" car is too much like work, Once you have driven a boosted car, you have a hard time going back to NA.

you have to think about drive ability. You want to drive it on the street right? then u have to go turbo because the allmotor just isn't gunna give u the power and still be driveable.

So earlier this year my friend who owns a performance shop in pennsylvania offered another friend of mine a chance to try out a turbo kit from a supplier he was thinking of picking up. So, for very cheap he got a non-intercooled t-20 turbo kit. THe whole kit was cheaper than most people spend on a turbo and it was 100% bolt on. 8 hours later we were enjoying 6 psi of boost. Before the turbo the car was a low 80 mph 17 second quarter mile turd with a the stock d16 in a '00 civic EX. So for the price of his IHE for the n/a setup he had a turbocharger and was making a ton of cool noises and the car is pretty quick now.

IF you go n/a you're retarded.

Just look at the number of topics and post in the Forced Induction Section VS the All Motor Section!

If you plan on driving on the street with your setup, remember that law is a bitch. You can't expect not to get caught with something loud.
Where I live, getting pulled over because of loud exhaust is the least of it, they start picking on thinks like dark tint, and they tell you to open your hood..

I'd rather have a 240whp NA setup that is silent,
than a 400whp Turbo setup with full exhaust.
I'll be doing the possible.

But a 240whp turbo setup would be signigicantly quieter than a 240whp N/A setup.

Everyone must remember that when you have 400 WHP you have NO traction unless you are running slicky's. As where a 230 all motor car could prolly get down the without slicks and still run a decent time.
