False Marketing on the Honda Official News Site
I purchased a Honda Accord V6 EX Auto, and I was really looking foward to getting the Factory Performance Kit. However, when I talked to all the dealers around my place they said I wasn't making sense. They claim they never offered it, and then claim the honda website is bs.
I was upset. So I called directly to Honda customer support, and they said they don't offer that package, and never will. I was like !@#$%^&*. I proved to them that they posted on the honda news website Nov 2002. Then they said the same thing to me! "Oh well, we post and say thing, but it isn't true" ..... I was angry. That means everything honda post if fake! And are lying to the consumers!
That's false marketing !
What's everyone take on it? Was anyone able to get it ? and which dealership?

It looks like it's pretty much at the limit of what can be done, so far as baiting customers go. They say they will offer the package, which implies there is no guarantee, as it is not a done deal.
As far as I know, they can always reserve themselves the right to modify a deal they are planning on offering, without any notice, as long as it is stated to be in the future.
But I sure as hell feel for you, especially if you bought the car hoping you'd get that package with it.
It would be different if they were announcing they were offering this package right now. Then they would have to at least specify they can modify or end the deal at their discretion in the small writings at the bottom of the offer/add.
