Default Valvespring and retainer choice

It looks like I'm going to put in the Skunk2 cams instead of the Spoon due to the fact I can get them $300 cheaper. I'm trying to decide on valve springs and retainers that will let me safely rev to 9000. I want to be very safe, but not overly stiff if I can avoid it.

Can anyone offer me some advice on which valvespring/retainer combo would work best for me? Thanks in advance. (Please direct any suggestions to get Toda cams to /dev/null)

You won't need to rev to 9000, because the Skunk cams make peak power way before then. I would suggest some stock ITR springs and Portflow Titanium retainers. You will be perfectly fine with that combo.

The Skunk2's peak at ~8600, you think ITR outers w/ Portflow inners and retainers and GSR valves will be ok as a daily driver?

Spend the extra cash and get the Spoon's or A's. The valve train isn't a system of the vehicle you want to go cheap with.

I shift with my skunks at 9 even though peak power is around 8.6k. Go with web cam or jun or whoever is reputable, they make good springs and retainers. Don't mess around with valvesprings get the best. When you're at high rpms your engine will thank you.
You'll like those cams trust me.

portflows inner would be a little stiff for those cams. I believe type r springs all around work well.
The JUN or Toda springs would be overkill for those cams, causing valvetrain power loss.

Titanium retainers are good, but not necessary unless you plan to be in the 8500-9000 range for minutes at a time.

What about Skunk2 or Web Cam springs? How do they compare in stiffness to the Portflows or Crowers?
