had a nice day of changing all my fluids
changed:
oil
oil filter
coolant
water wetter
windshield wiper fluid
ABS fluid
master cylinder fluid
transmission fluid
Products used:
For Transmission:
GM Syncromesh (1 Quart)
Honda MTF (1 Quart)
10w 30 Motor Oil (0.2 Quart)
For Radiator:
Honda Coolant (Full Jug)
Redline Oils Water Wetter (1/2 Container)
Filled Resovoir with h2o
ABS Fluid:
Honda Dot 3 Brake Fluid
Master Cylinder Fluid:
Honda Dot 3 Brake fluid
Windshield Wiper Fluid:
80% h2o
20% Honda Windshield Wiper Fluid
Motor Oil:
Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30 (4 Quarts)
Oil Filter:
Genuine Honda Oil filter
Car drives very smooth and stays very cool. Took all day, took my time and enjoyed myself. Nice day out and nice easy work for a change.
Results:
Shifts feel crisp but smooth. 0 Grinds, (as usual). used mixture given.
Car is about 5% cooler Id say... I used the mixture given.
Brake feel same as does clutch. Did not bleed either system.
did this with my friend Billy who will most likely post some of the strange happenings with his car and having too much oil in it.

damn.. another thing I should do... everyones posting stuff that I should be doing .. I guess its a sign
Just out of curiosity how did you come up with that mixture for the tranny fluid. Most people I know say to just run one thing or another, don't mix. Interesting.
Did some reading on the properties of each. Decided that for maximum lubrication I needed a mixture. Honda MTF is essentially automatic tranny fluid and 10w30 Honda non-syn oil. I wanted a little more Non-syn, and the properties of GM Syncromesh. Just came up with that as my final solution.
