Yesterday I noticed a weird noise while driving... when I let my foot off the throttle I would hear the noise... So while the car was in the drive way today.. I turned the engine on.. and the muffler was shaking/vibrating.. SO I was like WTF.. lifted it from the rear and inspected the bolts and hangers..
I have a feeling the vibration is being caused from the lack of tightening the 3 cat bolts.. as I hand tightened them (I dont have any air tools)
I installed the exhaust about 1 month ago.. had no problems till now..

I hate my evo since day 1. I bought it because my SP rusted apart and I needed something cheap and soon. The fit and finish is horrible.
On the rear, the hanger on the muffler touches the hanger on the chassis, thus making tons of noise. I had to use a dremel to cut off part of the hanger.

I had no problems with the fit, cause it fit perfectly.
Can you please clarify what you were saying about the hangers?
Like I mentioned before.. I had the exhaust installed for a month rougly... and I had no problems with vibrations till a couple days ago....

The rear hanger on the muffler itself was vibrating against the hanger on the chassis. Hard to explain. If it's touching it makes an awful vibration throughout the entire car.
Check the heat shields by the cat. Mine rattle there also.

Try tightening up the cat bolts. You don't need air tools to do that.
Then check the heatshields and possible bend some back so they aren't close to the exhaust.
