Talk about a F**ked week. Blew the block on my H22 and now the dilemma is wheter to drop another engine or write RIP and move on. It was a 94 H22 in a 90accord EX. Anyone have any suggestions? the ac is gone and here in florida thats a must. Anyone have a shortblock for an obd1 H22?

 

well first off all is to see how f**cked ur block really is, take teh motor out and see what can be salvaged. it take alot to really mess a block up beyond usabillity. the head could still be junt fine or just need to resleve, you have to dig in there and see. then decide what your options are. say for example your head is still good you could even think about a hybrid setup doing an h23 vtec, just pick up a h23 bare block for 400 and build a hybrid setup https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=510617

 

no need to pull the block, a beautiul hole with a rod hanging through it is clearly visible. anyone with a shortblock????

well then i guess that answers that. if i were you i would do the h23 vtec, but that just my opinion. how did you blow the motor?
