it cranks but wont start everything is plugged in except the knock sensor
could that be why its not strarting up, and if it is how do you wire it up to the computer?

 

Check all your grounds,and make sure it is static timed to factory specs.

No, it will start but will not have vtec. For OBD I, the pin out for the knock sensor is D3. I would start with all the wiring you did. Then you need four things for the motor to start: Compression, timing, fuel, and spark. I would start with timing and spark cause those are the ones that are usually off.

 

If it cranks and you smell gas, then check your distributor for spark next. Usually you will have a dead ignition coil. Just did my b16a swap and had the same problem. Don't worry about the knock sensor yet, I still haven't wired in my knock sensor yet and it runs skippy.
