on the back side of it..maybe..
you will notice oil dripping from the bottom of the tranny and little drain hole.
pull off the tranny and take a look

Well, I didn't pull the entire tranny, I pulled the dust plate and noticed that it was dry on the block side. The flywheel was dry. My thought was that if there was oil coming out of the rear main it might splash onto the flywheel...

I think I know where the leak might be coming from - the shift rod on the tranny side. The dust boot is torn there.....

maybe your header is rubbing your oil pan? This would eventually cause a small leak that gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger....don't ask me how I know!!

Well that's the thing, my block side is clean...

There's no rub on the oil pan so that's ok. I am going to try and replace the boot on the shift rod to see what's up.

could be your oil pan gasket. yes your flywheel would be wet somewhat or the block. where exactly are you seeing the oil on the car?

Right where the block and tranny meet, but on the back(intake side) and not the front(exhaust side).

I've got this same issue on my motor... I changed the pan gasket and nothing changed.. the pan is good.. I'm thinking it has to be the main, but i've not pulled it yet.. Also just to be safe... check higher up on the block to be sure that there isn't a leak up there that isn't trickeling down and making you chase things that aren't there. I found my oil pressure sending unit was a bit leaky, but that still didn't solve the whole issue.

when mine was leaking.. it was obvious..
they oil was all inside.. and coming out..
the flywheel WASN"T covered in oil..but the tranny casing was..
take off the cover and look..
you will see the oil coming from the seal..

if you need to change you clutch.. now would be the time to do that too

btw make sure the new oil seal is ALL THE WAY

I'd double check to make sure that the leak is not possibly leaking from somewhere uptop.
