Should I get oem VIS Carbon Fiber Hood????

I have 98 white teg with oem kit & type r spoiler & Mugen RnR replica rim with red lip. Should i get oem cf hood???

i'll post the pix later.

why do you have a red lip? YEah id get the hood. I saw one today, it looked really nice. IT was very glossy.

i'm personally dont like cf hoods. sure then save a lil weight but i think its ruins the paint job on the car.
i would always just keep my stock painted hood

if I ever got a CF hood, I would paint it to match. But I cannot see spending that much money to save a few pounds, until I go all out hardcore. Im all about function.

A nice Cwest carbon hood would match your beautiful kit niceley

get it, then strip off the clear coat, prime it, and paint match it to your car.

ya, fiber images too....ive seen videos of their testing and it doesnt look edited but they beat it with a bat and run over it with a car and it has a few scratches but thats all

And Fiber images fiber looks great, and they are durable. Take a look @ this pretty Type R, notice the hood.

i think the hood defeats the purpose of a CF hood. a CF hood should be lightweight.....the vis is almost as heavy as stock...

My friend has a VIS CF hood, and it fits like ***, and it came with 3-4 cracks in the clearcoat. It hangs over at least 1/2" in the front, and it is totally noticable.

I've never heard anything bad about VIS before, I'm wondering if maybe the shop got him a different, less expensive brand and gave him that instead.
