My friend is looking to buy a used 01 gsr from the dealer, it has 17k miles on. So my question is, does the warranty still remain in effect, even on a used car from the dealer? If I remember correctly, all Acura come wit ha 4 year, 50k mile bumper to bumper & powertrain warranty.

 

This question would best be presented to the dealer making the sale.

But the warranty should transfer.

 

i beleive the warranty still applies to 50K.. if there's an extended warranty to 100k u have to send in some paper work and pay like 80$ to transfer that.. the extended warranty can only be transferred once. The regular warranty I don't think expires except for time/miles wise.

 

a lot of dealers give you a warranty even when a warranty doesn't exist as an incentive to buy the used car
