06 TSX 4 year warranty?
I just purchased a 2006 TSX 6 spd with 66 on the clock. Car is in great shape, very clean. Deciding whether to purchase the 4 year warranty Acura offers on the car. It is $2700 over 4 years bumper to bumper one time fee. I come from the tuning scene, (audi, vw) so im used to not always having the most reliable cars. One of the reasons I came over l acura and especially tsx. Read great reviews on them holding up with little to no issues. So my question, is the 4 year warranty even worth it, what I've read so far from people is don't waste your money as long as you take care of the car, you won't need it and to just put some money aside in savings because you never know which I always do anyway with cars. Leaning towards not purchasing it but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't bother with the extended warranty especially with such little mileage and with the updated 06-08 block, some of the 04-05 were burning oil at an excessive rate and Honda was covering them under warranty with 06+ shortblocks.
I would just make sure the recall issues have been talking care such as the AC compressor & power steering hose if I remember correctly.
My 08 has 134K on it and the only thing outside of brakes, tires, wiper blades, and oil changes that have been replaced is the following.
spark plugs
Ignition coil
battery
rear ABS unit
As you can see they are pretty damn reliable and a far cry from anything German made.

Re: 06 TSX 4 year warranty?
These cars are pretty solid. I bought my 06 about a 1.5 years ago with 87k on it. It has 127k on it now. I haven't had to do any kind of repair on the car whatsoever.
I've had to replace wear items:
-Front compliance bushings (mine actually looked ok...but...decided to change them before having the car aligned anyway)
-water pump (I did it at 100k just as maintenance. took me 45 mins. whatever.)
-brakes and tires
-clutch (because I hated the clutch that was in the car)
Actually, the only complaint I had about the car is the brakes. I think maybe they're too heavily front biased and with the stock sized rotors, I was always getting pulsations no matter which pads I tried. I didn't want to use something WAY track biased like a HP+.
So I installed RL calipers and 12.7'' rotors from a 350Z. No more pulsations...way better braking. Pedal feel remained virtually unchanged.
