Car bogs out when I give it gas
Does anyone know why my car bogs out like if there were no gas going in to the motor. When I am on the freeway it begins to bog and as I give it more gas it does not go anywhere. My comp. is throwing a code 1 and a code 2. I checked my O2 sensor but I don't know what a code 2 is. I also checked my spark and that is not the problem. This is a B16A1 motor.
Code 1 and 2 are both O2 sensors. The b16a came with 2 O2 sensors on it...
You should try replacing your O2 sensor to start and if you dont have another one then you need to splice the wire from your ECU onto your O2 sensor.
That will trick your ECU into thinking that you are actually running 2 O2 sensors.

Nope sorry, 1 o2 sensor on b16's (not sure on the b16a2, 99+ SI engine, may have 2 because of obdII.)
but an o2 sensor should cause a bogging problem unless you are running REALLY rich to begin with. i ran without one on my b16 for about 3 months, never had a problem other than 18mpg.

If I had a camera I would go out to my garage and take a picture of one for you.

they need to specify hehe</TD></TR></TABLE>It isnt the engine that matters, it is the ECU that he is using. Considering he has a 91 integra (by what his screen name is) I know that he is using either a PR3 or a PWO obd0 ECU, both of which came out of the first gen b16's in Japan which use 2 O2 sensors.
