I wonder why they did this...Im guessing it's to utilize the dry sump oil system I see there and to get some ram air action on the ITBs. Also, maybe to use some weird transmission?

to run the head backwards, all you have to do is get new cams reground in the oposite direction and make sure the water inlets line up on the block and head unless you plan on being air cooled...

hey... that makes me think about the b series motor.... ever wonder why the cam seal, which always leaks is even there? they could have just sealed it off. seems like the purposely made it that way to open the possibilities of running the head in the other direction.
I belive that they made the motor that way to use a Sequential transmision. I wish i could see what they had to do to the surface of the head to get all of the oil passageways to work.

thats an x-trac sequential transmission. the motor puts out around 300 HP. imagine that in a tube frame drag car.
