What Tool do I use to drill a hole for Knock Sensor??
What tool is needed to drill into the block to make threads for the knock Sensor?? If I'm using a p28 Ecu with hondata, will i need a knock sensor?? The motor on hand is a B20/vtec
P28's don't look for a knock sensor, but to answer your question you'd want to use a 10.9 mm drill bit to first open up the hole a bit, then use a 12mm x 1.25mm thread pitch tap to thread the hole for the knock sensor Make sure to take your time and use alot of lubricant (I just use oil) when tapping a hole.
i thought the B20's already had a knock sensor...oh well..
this is where they put their knock sensor....

or you could take a 17mm head nut (from mount, etc) and have someone WELD it to the head of a 14mm bolt. then just screw the knock sensor into the inner hole on the upper alt mount like shown above. No drilling or tapping needed. EASY FIX
