Default do i have to evacuate my AC because of a leak?

I need to get my ac fixed, my AEM rubbed a pin sized leak into it and the refigerant slowly leaked out, i'm going to replace the pipe but what i want to know is if i can just recharge it myself and only spend $20 or if i have to take it to a shop and get it evacuted and charged for 150, which seems to be the going rate here. Its a really smal leak so i dont know how realistic it is that moisture got in there. Please advice. thanks

Moisture will mess it up bad. But even air will mess it up. You know air got in there, and that'll make it so it's not as cold as it should be.
