Default Tuning Cam Gears On Dyno

plan to tune cam gears on the dyno. is it necessary to set #1 piston TDC after each adjustment?

no, but if you are having trouble reading the indexing marks b/c they are not at TDC, you can put the car in 5th gear, and roll the drums (therefor rotating the motor) until the cam gears are at a more legible position. Remember to reset your ignition timing as well.
