removing splash gaurd?
Theres a flap under the bottom front part of my car . I think its the splash gaurd. Well anyways, mine is curved downwords and is close to the ground. How do I remove it? Is the splash gaurd connected to the front lip?
The splash guards are actually held on by self-tapping screws I believe. And if you're talking about the front splash guards... then you don't have to jack up the car... just steer ur rims so you can get to the splash guards with the screw driver.

I would keep it because it protects the radiator and others. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Mine was the same way, I just put some zip ties to hold it up.

If you have an AEM CAI please don't take the flap off!!! I took mine off my old civic and hydrolocked the motor during a rainstorm.
But I got an LS motor out of it!

same here, i used some very heavy duty ties and they won't ever break. They're like the spare handcuffs police officers use when they run out of real handcuffs. Thick plastic zip ties

sorry i didnt see you post til now!
Normally that flap is bolted to the underside of your car like this:
but a couple of dings later it tears..so what you do is take out those bolts and if their not bent then you can get some big washes and bolt everything back up or you can use the holes as a place to run your zip ties through!
Just run zip tie in the hole and around everthing to hold the flap to the top again!

I had mine ziptied for the longest time because those holes in my radiator support did not have any threads! Late I found out it was supposed to have that plastic connectors that expand when you push in the plastic screw in the middle. So I got a couple of those and used them along with washers and I've never had a problem since. The zipties used to always break every now and then.
I had this problem too. I used a razor to cut off the passenger side half.
I was gonna take the whole thing off but the drivers side is protecting some belts. Too bad that side is hella sagging/scraping too now. I might just get a new piece from acura.

Over the winter i went in to an oil change place and was I was pulling out it caught onto the tracks and tore right throught the middle of it so its cut in half and each side dangles down. I tried to zip tie it but it wasn't holding it up much more than it was without the zip ties so I took them off. Is it ok to take the splash guard off or hard to find replacements?
lol I forgot to put all the screws in on mine, and it got blown off on the bridge and hit my girlfriends car behind me
I thought I ran over a seagull or something
