obd2 lude to obd1?
i have a chipped p28 ecu and tried to install it in my 01 lude sh with an obd2-1 harness. the engine starts, but ends up dying. i'm pretty sure it's either that the harness is wired incorrectly or i need an obd1 distributor. can anyone help me with this and has anyone successfully done this on an obd2 lude?
He is going the other way George. He's using an OBD1 ecu in his OBD2 Prelude SH.
I'm not certain, but the fact that you have an SH might have something to do with it. I think the SH's ecu works with the ATTS computer. I'm not really sure though.

with the searches i've done before.....i just know that i will lose atts and the immobilizer. other than that it should be fine. obdI's, teh timing can be adjusted manually while the obd2 you cannot do it with the distributor. i think i needed to advance my timing for it to stop stalling, but i could'nt do it manually. found out the hard way. well, i have hondata now and wonder if i could just somehow datalog the timing and not have to get an obd1 distributor and rewire. does anyone know whether i have to get the obd1 distributor or could i just manually do it with hondata?

My '96 is converted to OBD1 and Hondata and has no problems with the OBD2 Distributor (aka crank angle sensor is at the crank pulley instead of in the distributor)
