I've have no idea how the goofy thing works but its is perhaps the best $500 mod I've done to my car. $500 being DYNO tuned and everything. I definately have seen an increase in power and power responsiveness.
My advice as what everyone else will tell you is go to a ruputable tuning shop and have them tune it. I got mine tuned by some guys who professionally drag race hondas so they know they **** when it comes to fuel.

leave it all at stock settings till you can get to a dyno, then tune it in.

I have a 99 Type SH with AEM CAI and APEXi cat-back and was thinking about the V-AFC. Should I get a fuel pressure regulator at the same time before it is dyno-tuned? Also, what will good old ODB-II have to say about this?

Don't get a fuel pressure regulator it will kick you out of STS class.
