Yeah I went that fast tonight I usually don't but when you drive 60 round trip miles to go out with a LAME girl that's a good way to vent irritation/frusteration.

haha this is going to get locked...how did it feel going 135 in your lude? Was it really shakey? Ive never taken mine up that fast.

135 in a Lude is fun... until you get caught.

 

That's pretty close to the fastest I've ever been in mine, but with speedometer error it was probably less. Had a friend that pushed his speedo into the corner in his '99 SH. Question: Do you have a radar detector dude? If not, you should.

 

I've had mine up to where the spedometer read 142 mph! JUST ONCE!

It felt pretty stable. I didn't hold the speed very long and I just coasted back down to like 75 mph.

Pretty neat, but I wouldn't do it again unless I was on a track!

 

i too have heard the 70mph signs go by as i passed them at almost twice that speed...

 

hmmm. i think my car is broke. i have problems getting past 80 without it feeling alittle unstable. hehehe.
im not too sure if radar detection is any good when your driving that fast. besides, cops dont radar on the freeway anymore... they just match speed and ticket you at a + or - type thing.

Ya if you see a cop at that speed your screwed anyways, i dont think it would matter what radar detector you have.

 

if i saw a cop at 140mph. im staying on the gas until i hit mexico... at 140 im pretty sure they would rape my car and take my liscense with it.

In March my detector went off on 150 North here in VA while I was attempting to get a stubborn Teg off my *** (turned out to be a Type R, duh ) I was doing over 120 mph when the alarm went off; I got it down under 80 before the Trooper pulled me. I could have done a little better if I wasn't afraid that the guy behind me would've smashed into me if I'd stood on the brakes instead of just letting off the gas and downshifting.

Anyway, a ticket for doing 79 in a 55 mph zone is a hell of a lot better than one for doing 125+, so yeah I think it's worth it. Trust me, if you drive like an idiot regularly, get a detector.

I'm with ya on that unless its in a semi-densely populated area. You'd be surprised how many cop cars can hone in on one spot very quickly. If it were in a small town though, yea, I'd probably just smirk and squeeze my *** cheeks together and go for it.

 

i got it once at about 120.... smae knida situations, except i did the fnf thing cause i could se the cop turn his head looking me.. he was opposite direction of divided highway.. floor it and get off at the next exit! works good enoug most of the time!
