Hey all here’s the pictures I promised I would post up of my downpipe and custom dump tube for my GT3040 for those that wanted to see the rest of the pics

Currently im waiting on my intercooler pipes to get power coated, I should start my car again in a few days… then onto the dyno sometime next week

nice what kind of whp are you shooting for?

 

well i was making 300HP+ with 20psi before on a small t3t4 turbo.. so yeah this GT3040 is much larger... iv got a fully built b16 so yeah... 400HP+ or so maybe more.. i guess i won't know untill im on the dyno....

how thick does the metal has to be for the dp, i need a new dp.

 

hmmm im not sure how thick.. but i know the material were using is thicker than what my original max rev down pipe was using... it would have to be at least 3mm or 4mm thick...

is that a t3 or t4 exhaust housing ?

 

GT30 (GT3040) turbos are a t3/t4 type turbo.. i belive...
t3 exhaust
t4 intake...and duel ball bearing....
the specs on the turbo is .82 on the exhaust and .70 on the intake side.
I wanta take the boost to 20psi + maybe 25...

Nice looking setup, if you dont mind me asking where did you get your turbo? It is very close to the same spec I am wanting to get. When do you expect full boost?

99% sure they both still use the smaller shafts.
