Cleaner-Wax (I use Meguire's).
It's too chunky for clay bars, but you should clay bar it after the cleaner-wax, if that makes any sense.

you're probably refering to the carbon deposite from your exhaust. my rear end was full of it plus acid rain deteriorated rear bumper. the top of my rear bumper could have been mistaken for being orange
. Mothers Clay Bar kit took it ALL off. it's super smooth and spotless now

use the "Mothers Clay kit" they sell it at almost all auto part stores, costs approx $15. it takes ALL the black dots away, leaves the bumper (and entire car) looking brand new.
I know there are better and more expensive clay kits to buy, but for the money, i think nothing beats the mothers.
oh..and it comes w/ everything you need to do the job, (except a rag)

Clay bar!!! When I bought my ITR I clayed it for 6 hours or so because it appeared as if the original owner had never clayed it. Now she's beatiful. In fact clay sometimes will hide small scratches as light scratches become visible when contamination hides inside of them.
Also, if you look close it seems as if there are road contaminants that are yellow and red(Looks like Mcdonalds is growing on your R). Those also come off w/ a clay bar.
Id recommend claybarring every 6 months along w/ a good detail to keep your paint in prime condition
I use mothers claybar also, but Pinnacle is supposed to be the bomb. For $40 its not too bad of a deal since pinnacle's kit is supposed to be good for many more usages
Larkin who's paint is smoother than a babies butt
