Default 1988 Prelude S

Have a 1988 Prelude s model carburated. What would be the best Vtec engine to drop in it, and where can I find out if it will fit, and other information on it?

Also I'm lacking power in my higher RPMs on my stock engine. What are some things that I should check out. I have done all the normal checks like plugs, wires, air-filter replacment, and new exhaust, that helped, but it still lacks power. I'm thinking that my cat is clogged causing a lot of back pressure. Really not sure though.

No I haven't checked my compression yet. Don't have a gauge.

Thanks for the help.

Default Re: 1988 Prelude S (Falhawk)

Sell the S and get a fuel injected 3rd gen (Si)

But if you want to keep the S you are goin to have to convert it to fuel injected.

Best vtec swap=H22
