total seal rings....w/h22a questions
engine just rebuilt w/total seal rings......200 miles so far.......lots of blowby.....during the process my mechanic was told not to hone the block....therefore he didnt......no instructions came in the packaging for the rings from total seal.......are these rings going to seat?

who told your mechanic not to hone the block?
chances are that the rings will never properly seat so you will always have an oil consumption problem........
i do belive total seal does have a special cylinder wall honing spec/procedure or something like that. you should call them and find out.

a moderator should make a sticky post saying total seal rings are shitty!! damn there much more expensive than oem honda rings and there hard to seat.. if they do they rob horsepower.. i have total **** rings in my ls/vtec and i get lots of blow by about 185psi across the board on my 12:1 motor..
