Ok i know i shouldn't be street racing but looking beyond taht, I raced a wrx and LS turbo tonight and i won...hard to believe eh? I surprised myself...the LS had clutch problems so he was done from the start but either i launched really wel or the WRX launched really shitty or something...anyone else try their hand against a wrx??

 

I saw a new WRX at the track it ran 15.1 with exhuast and BOV

 

I havent raced any WRX's but I can tell you this, I have owned a Turbo LS and now I own a Type R.... and hands down my old Turbo LS will kill my Type R in a straight line.

But I would love to race a WRX. I am sure those are very easy cars to mod.

 

well once ive raced an LS with I/h/e and some good engine mods from JG or JE with a port n polished head....it was quick..he took me until about 3rd gear...when i started pulling ahead.

 

I think my "W" tonight was a result of a) the turbo LS owner not replacing his dead cluch, b) the wrx driver's crappy *** driving altho I only took him by a little more than 3/4 of a car length...

hopefully i'll make some money this summer, get my I/H and lighter wheels

oh yeah, who has the advantage off the line? ITR right, since the wrx's turbo has to spool up...i think?

Is that a true WRX or just a 2.5RS?
My friend's WRX is pulling 5.3 sec from 0-100km/hr and mine only pull around 6.2-.6.5.
comparing stock to stock, ITR will never beat a WRX on straight line.

 

yup real wrx...like i said i think he got a shitty start and i got lucky..

 

any mods on the WRX? with a couple of mods he should beat itr's

 

i'm thinking he should've beat me stock in a straight line...from what i could see he had aftermarket wheels and that was about it...i didnt get a chance to look under the hood...and iw as bone stock
