Default Junkyard Special

I'm still amazed... just got back from the junkyard where I bought a new used sunroof bracket, fast idle valve, MAP sensor, valve & sensor mounting bracket, and vacuum tubing.

Total cost? $28 including tax. Holy *****! I love the junkyard .

I might head back tomorrow and pick up a replacement fuel pump....

Especially on imports! I was looking in a mag at 255lph in-tank fuel pumps for Domestics... $89 apiece. For an import? $199. WTF?!?

I'm just glad I didn't even have to haggle... I was that stunned.

Salvage yards are the best! i just met a guy who sells engines and can get me parts for dirt cheap! Most junkyards nowadays ask you what you want first and they see if they have it in and then go get it for you, for insurance reasons, well thats how it is here. I remember back in the day when i would head up to the junkyard with my father, we could just cruise around and take whatever looked we saw that interested us. I miss those days.
