i saw your ITR..it's really nice.
i know people keep compring ITR vs S2k, or 350z or S2k, or..blahblahblah.
i think you need to decide what you want to do with the car prior to making the change. I saw your mod list on the ITR, and it's pretty significant. Not as many parts available for an S2k...
i think you have to figure out what you are planning to do with the car.
either way, i think you can't go wrong. i'm still wondering what it would be like to own an ITR.
good luck with your decision... and with the sale of your car.. i'd hate to see you part it out..it's really nice.

well yeah i pretty much decided go for s2k which it's a higher lvl car compare stock to stock, no matter handling or balance or power. just can't believe still have so many R owners being noob and think that R is always the fastest..
I am going to turbo the S2k, but speedcraft kit is like 5k or something.. which is not easy. And some simple quiestions here that wat size of rims and tires would be the best to fit on S2k , which means that it won't hit the fender or anything even if i lower it? is it 16x7 front and 8 at rear??

hehehe... a good friend of mine is an ITR guy so I know about the ITR is faster, ITR is the greatest car in the world, etc..etc.. etc...
wheels and offset are really tough because no company really makes a rim with the correct offset... (well, HRE, but that's because you can custom make those). Check on the S2ki site, tons of info on the rims/offset/rubbing/springs/debate.
popular boost options are either speedcraft turbo, comptech s/c, or vortech. I don't know who else makes one (maybe something custom?), but those seem to be the most popular 3.
Do you plan on making the modifications to the S like you did to the R? Regardless, best of luck with your S2k endeavors. It's a great car.. (Only thing that makes me want to go to work, and get me through the day faster). Cheers

This should answer lots of your questions.

http://www.s2ki.com/forums/sho...79802

I also upgraded from my turbo Integra to an S2000. I am extremely happy with my decision. I did end up paying slightly more than I would have liked, but oh well. I have the car that I love now.

BTW, http://www.s2ki.com is an excellent resource for S2000 enthusiasts.

yes i'll turbo the S2k once i have money which ppl on type R form knows that i can't drive a stock car no matter what however, i believe a nice car is very important such as u said , and for me it's probably the first thing i'll see when i step out my door in the morning, so it gotta be nice

btw, can anyone just tell me tires and rims size they are running on their lower S2k??

I would suggest that you check http://www.s2ki.com. Tons of great info on S2000's.
I'm no specialist, but I think pretty much every mod for the S2K might be more expensive than a similar one for Integra - including a Turbo.
There's also an interesting debate on the same board on NA vs. Turbo and it's quite interesting to follow it up.
My S2000 is still stock - with the exception of brake pads, fluid and tires - and I can testify that it's a lot of fun on the track. It's quite a capable car "out of the box" so I guess you might also want to consider some driver's ed training. Check the s2ki forum "Racing".

Good luck to you,
George

the only thing you need to do is test drive, if you like it...then its the car for you. personally if you're overweight, go with the 350z...it accomodates these types of people much better than an s2k. if you're lightweight like me and are comfortable in a smaller convertible, get the s2k. its all about the way you feel in a car, not what others think.

yes i fully agree with you. don't expect huge hp gains from the basic I/H/E, the s2k is already tweaked a lot from the factory. the only real power adders are nitrous, supercharger or turbo. most boltons actually make you lose hp b/c the stock units are so well-designed.

You should be safe running as high as an 18 inch rim and low profile tires (Atleast 50's) if you want to lower it. I've got 18's all the way around and 225 50's I think (could be 235 50's, but don't want to go outside and check) and I've got room to lower the car 1/2 inch to an inch. Your overall wheel/tire diameter won't change if you do your homework on the wheel and tire combo no matter whether the wheel is a 16, 17 or 18. Hope I've helped (P.S. Make sure you have the correct offsets too)

This isn't necessarily true. AEM cai makes decent gains ~8-10 whp
Vafc or AEM EMS~10hp(VAFC) 15hp maybe (EMS)
Toda cams + VAFC or AEM EMS~ 30hp or so with AEM EMS (according to Hams2000) also fattenend midrange.

What would the cost of all of that run compared to the supercharger route? 100whp gains are being achieved with the comptech and vortech, and I was just curious how much a N/A build up like you have listed would cost. I'm looking to go one way or the other.

AEM CAI - $220
AEM EMS - $1200
Toda Cams - $1350
Toda Valve Springs - $400
Tuning - can get pretty expensive with AEM EMS

I've heard of people who paid as low as $3700 for the Vortech. The Comptech usually runs for around $4100.

N/A and force induction are totally different way, N/A car is always fun on track and u can rev high, the feel is totally different. It's ture that if u want to build a fast N/A motor u'll need more money than just turbo it, but example that N/A s2k or N/A ITR don't need that much power as turbo to make it run as fast on track.

i got the my S2k !!! it 00, bone stock white/red with 65k miles on it, but it doesn't matter since it's going to be rebuild with turbo parts real soon. also a quick question here, it's a 65k miles car, and the pre. owner doesn't seem the really take care of the interior , so it's a lil messed up (like seats, dash ..) so i wonder anyone have idea that where i can get a dash kit with CF look or something like?that? it would be the best if they have a site and i can just order them from online. thankx all new member!!!!

convertable+digital cluster+6speed own me

it's hilarious how some people feel compelled to say they're gonna turbo it. it's like a manhood thing i guess.

i recommend going with jason b's kit. he's known to be very picky/**** about stuff he puts on his car and he is a fellow owner.

http://www.burtmanindustries.com/honda_s2000.html

$165 i believe.

enjoy the car. it's a beautiful thing.
