I'd just wait a little while. There are alot of really cool cars coming out and they might even do a few changes to the current S2000. The S is an awesome car but the R will always be the little car that could.

Is this your current car? If so I will shoot you in the face for asking such a question. I couldn't imagine selling something you've put so much work into.

ahah i know how u guys think.. but as i say, im' getting more than 1 k cash back and i won't need to worry about the insurance and thief anymore..
i had fun with my car and which still running prefect as daily drive, but there are too many civics out there with our motor and i know the limit of N/A R .. so i want something more.. maybe it's just time to move on. 64k miles is not that much for a 2000 car, but since the motor will be rebuild anyway. so mileages doesn't seens so important to me.

Re: thinking of trading my R for s2k (LYNNWOOD LEGEND)
DONT DO IT ANDY.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
If you want a s2k, wait a bit, dont jump on it just yet, you might regret it, try getting a final drive or something before you sell the car, your car with its current setup is already faster than a s2k hands down, and might even handle better.

Re: thinking of trading my R for s2k (98itR484)
did anyone here know s2k's price kinda drop a lot compare to type-r ?
brand new s2k in toronto is around 50k and i see most of them on autotrader only worth 3xk, but type-r is still some where around 27k.

Re: thinking of trading my R for s2k (GettaluvR)
The s2k does not hold its value as well of the ITR but not many cars out there can hold their value as well as the ITR due to it's demand and limited production.

I totally agree with Brock. Your car is beautiful.. I think you will really regret selling your R..

Re: (Typel2)
[QUOTE=Typel2]The owners will drive the cars beyond their limits trying to stay ahead of or keep up with ITR drivers or even VTEC Prelude drivers.QUOTE]
Hmm... you can believe this or decide for yourself... There are a few guys in OTC that are absolutely dominating witht the s2000. Most ITR guys do not want to believe that it is a competent package but it has proven itself. In the s2000 forum here I posted a best motoring video of the old itr versus new itr versus s2000 versus sti versus nsx.
The results with PROFESSIONAL race car drivers..... s2k beats out the old itr and was rapidly putting pavement between them(once it past the old itr) in one lap even though starting back in the grid and having to put up with much more traffic than either itr. Last time I checked, if someone is consisitently faster than you on the track, it's not because they are pushing the car beyond ITs limits but because that is the capability of the car, don't act like you are holding back if you think you are truely faster...
But, don't take my word for it.. I wont hand you any speculation. Go and lurk over at s2ki.com on the racing forum and see what kind of lap times they are turning at some of the big tracks, the times speak for themselves.
Overall, the chassis is stiff (more than any other honda outside of a newer NSX) and it will take you some time to fully explore the limits of this car (they are higher than you think), but like i said... don't take my word for it.. take a test drive or better yet get some seat time with someone who tracks, most will be more than happy to oblige (I did before I bought and never looked back).

Re: thinking of trading my R for s2k (YelLowITR)
depends. For me, the S2K is not practical for my daily driver, so I'd have to take the integra over it (imagine moving with an s2k that would seriously suck ***, it's bad enough with an integra). However, if I didn't drive the car everyday, I would probably take the S2000. RWD, fun to drive, less likely to be stolen, etc.
As for 25-27k, I doubt it. I'd rather buy a stock one with 25k miles for 18k than a modified one for 25-27k, hell even if the prices were the same I'd take the stock car. But I guess that's maybe just me and most others
