Hehe, shoot some nitrous off everytime I need to get up my driveway in my HX. Not a bad idea

For under $400, I'd say you're pretty out of luck to get any torque. your best bet would probably be a CAI with a good filter element and a decent catback. But that'll probably be around $600. You can always try lightening it

Get a 92-95 D16Z6 intake manifold and do a MPFI conversion.

Uh, NOS (n20) is not 91...

Octane comes in ratings, 87, 89, 91, 93, etc...

Hand port your head and throttle body with a dremel and polisher, remove AC and PS, scrape sound deadening and tar from the underpinnings of your frame, lose the back seats and interior, make a homemade CAI with PVC pipe and a K&N filter (cerca $50 and just as good), invest in an EX transmission ($150?), adjust your timing up to get maximum power without detonation, etc.

With the leftover, get a nice high-flow cat and quiet, straight-through muffler from Magnaflow, get some pipes bent (no bigger than 2 inches for your application: you don't want to lose the little torque you have now) and you're all set.

NOS or not, I don't see what upping the octane will do without getting a new head gasket.

no, it doesn't. but you made it sound like using a higher octane fuel will actually make horsepower. and unless he is running over 10:1 compression, it wont do anything.

typos own me

junk yard, thepartstrader.com, honda-tech classifieds, etc. That's the best thing you can do to your car is put a new tranny in it.
