Problem with A/C Compressor
I'm having some trouble trying to replace the a/c belt on my 90 civic lx. How do you adjust the tension on the belt? I know on the alternator and the PS pump there are pivot bolts that you can tighten and loosen, but there don't seem to be any for the A/C compressor. I got the compressor unbolted but I still can't figure out what to do. This garbage Haynes manual I have is no help. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

there's a small pulley just above the compressor's pulley on the SAME bracket. 1st loosen the bolt in the middle of the smaller pulley. then look right behind that pulley and you should see another bolt. the bolt behind the pulley affects the A/C belt tension.
i don't know what kind of connection you have but look at this pdf.

and order yourself a Helms manual http://www.helminc.com Haynes manuals are worthless.
EDIT: forgot the link

For some reason, that tensioner piece seems to be missing on my car. I knew something had to be missing, otherwise that would've been too obvious. Now I have to find a tensioner. Yay!!
Thanks for the pdf file
