jgenginedynamics, gude, and delta cams make a cam for the y7, exospeed is working on one for the y7 but it isn't ready yet, hopefully soon. chk http://www.dseries.org for info on the delta cam.

i am having the same issue...but i think i have the problem solved.....Crane makes a cam for the d16a6, from what i have looked at and how the cam is setup it should be able to bolt right up to our motors....

and its a new core, no REGRIND

i have yet to try it but i will soon

belives in SOHC power </TD></TR></TABLE>
Good point....

but in the meantime, we do have y7 cam available. only a Stage 2 though. but thats ok.. its good for allmotor, and turbo.
Super aggressive cams for allmotor are not available yet. and we most likely wont try some out in the future.

No cores right now but if you send yours to us, takes only 2 days to finish.

what kind of results can be expected from the stage 2 cam from u guys (exospeed)? i'm gonna be searching for a y7 cam to send. also i was under the impression that the a6 cam was not a direct bolt in for the y7 head? or is it just like the z6 cam in a y8 head just off by about 5 deg, which can be tweked via a cam gear?

we havent dynoed this spec yet. but the specs we designed it for is not for any SUper Drastice changes u know.. this stage2 spec will be in the range of 5-8hp gain to the wheels. y7 cam is totally diff from any other d16 cam. cant put in a6 cam in the y7 head.

has anyone tried the a6 cam in a y7 head?

thats what i want to know, it doesnt really make sense that the z6 cam will fit in a y8 but not a a6 in a y7

the A6 and the Y7 nonvtec heads are not the same design. the Y8 and Z6 are similar thats why its compatible.

ok well tell me this can you put a a6 cam in a 92-95 dx head(dont know the engine code)

cause if you can do that which i think someone said on here once, and i can put a 92-95 cam in the y7 head which i know has been done cause i have seen it....then why not a6 direct to y7.....

im not trying to make people pissed off, i know certain things people think cant work but i want to know for a fact that someone has tried it and then tell me it doesnt work....and i want to know the reasons why it didnt work.

i would say no, and i have never seen a 92-95 non vtec cam in a y7, i asked the same questions over a year ago on too's board and this one. the answer was no, and that was coming from mistabone. and from what i know the 92-95 non vtec head was the same as the a6's head (i'm pretty sure on this but not 100%). i'm not pissed or anything just don't wanna see any mis-info thats all. and your sure u didn't see a z6 cam in a y8 head. maybe u saw a z6 cam in a y7 head since the y7 head is based off of the y8 head i would imagine that the cam would fit.
