My friend owns a very nice 78 CB750. He's done a lot of work to get it to look as nice as it does, repainted it, chnaged some parts, Hindle can and a few other things. It's in really prime condition for the year and always stored inside. Has about 74k kilometers on it which is a lot for a bike but not bad for the year. It's been put down once but I know it wasn't bad, bit it turning on to my street, pulled the front brake to hard. No major damge just some scartches that have been repaired.
He's getting ready to buy a car now and can't afford both so he's going to cancel the insurance on the bike. I'm looking for a bike and said how much you want for yours? He'd let me have it for $1000.
This will be my first bike but it's not overally fast for it's size, he started on it for street riding but has some dirt bike back ground where I don't.
What do you guys think?

It's a fine starter bike. Yeah, it's a little heavy, but the conventional bike's sitting posture helps mitigate it somewhat. If it's pristine, $1000 seems OK.
Take the MSF.
