Default Compresion ratios

Can anyone explain them to me please? I have a B16a2 engine that needs a block.
The a1 is 10:2.1 and the a2 is 10:4.1. how much of a difference is this?

Also anyone know the limit to mill a B16a head?

Thanks

.2 isn';t going to be that big of a difference, especially on older engines.

Most I would mill is .020....this gives you one chance to wrap the head before you run out of milling space...lol

Just go with a thinner head gasket

thin head gasket will raise you .2-.3 points probably, and on top of that you can brag about having a spoon or mugen part in your engine

and just for future referance, it isn't 10:2.1 or 10:4.1, it is 10.2:1 and 10.4:1
