keep JRSC or Ls/vtec or stage 2
I have 3 options on what I can do next for my car and I need some opinions.
1) stick with JRSC on my 00 si at stock boost and maybe put on the CRV crank pully with hondata tunned (220whp)
2) don't really want to, because I want a relible engine. get a fully build ls/vtec motor, and run toda spec C cams. motor will have eagle rods, JE 11.1 pistons, knife edge crank, balanced, blue print all the works. Head would be milled, port &polish, toda spec C, toda valve springs, ferral valves, toda cam gears.
3) get a stock gsr block and MAYBE put itr pistons in it, same head as option 2 except skunk stage 2 cams with skunk 2 valvesprings instead.
both option 2/3 will probably have a extrude itr manifold and rpm throttle body
the reason why I would not go with the ls/vtec is because I want a motor that is more relible, and because I have to run at least 11.1 compression with the toda spec C cams, that's why I would run skunk2 stage 2 cams on option 3.
I did not want to build a gsr block for the toda spec C is because I have a tight budget and I can get the head at a good price from my friend.
let me know what you guys think, and I'm open to any suggestions

its all about the ls/vtec.... do that ****... if you have it built properly it will run perfectttttttt..... just make sure you have some heavy duty ****... you only hear their unreaible because peopel like to do a cheap ls/vtec and just toss on an ls block and call it a day.. the way you say your building it should be very realiable... remember if the motor is built right and your a realiable driver then it don't matter.. but if you mr. happy rev to 9700 everywhere you go... or like to race yourself... then pretty much you can blow a stock b16 with that.. yaknow what i'm sayin... go with the all motor you'll get way more respect and be faster than your jackson racing motor. To really get respect for a FI you need to be running in the 10's or 11's... With that set up with the ls.vtec that your talkigna bout will get you in the 12's most liekly with slicks... go for the ls/vtec and romp on those *******.. hehee
how long do you guys think that LS/vtec engine would last? (option 2)
don't most ls/vtec engines last for 40k miles?
what do people mean when they say it needs to be build right?
