Default Removing lower ground effect on 2001 teg

On all stock 2001 tegs, there is a piece of plastic that runs the length of the car, from the front fender all the way to the rear quarter panel. It is made to look like either a rocker panel protector or a quasi ground effects trim.

How do you remove this? I have removed the 6 or so screws at the base of the piece, but it will still not come off. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

You kinda have to pull it in one direction. It does not pull direct off (down) to remove it. It slides off. So be sure you have the screws on the sides removed too.

You installing some Cwest or Mugen Sideskirts? I hope it isn't APC junk

Beefpigs, yes, I am referring to the side skirts.

Sukebei Oni, when you say slide them forward, does that mean slide the piece towards the front wheel? or do you mean pull it outwards away from the car? Thanks.

I just did this a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't too hard. I unscrewed the screws all underneath the car and at the end (or ends, can't remember if each end had a screw). I pulled hard at the back end (near the back wheel) and it popped off the clip. I then push forward (towards the front), hitting it with my hand and it pretty much slipped off. Once you get the first clip (the one at the back) off you can see which way to slide it off.
