i have a 92 vx with a gen 2 b16. when i started it up for the first time my check engine light came on. how do i check what codes im throwing or what the problem is?

 

its near your ecu , u might need a paper clip

 

what? can you be more specific??

 

get a scanner....... it will tell u what dtc's are getting thrown.

 

its a liitle pin connector that you bend the paper clip into both sides. Your car needs to be on but not running so that when you open the door you don't get the dinging sound. When you put the clip in your CEL will blink. Short and Long blinks...write down how many and post it up here.

he's got it , but to add more to it . look under the dash at the far right and you'll see the plugs for the ecu theirs one that is in a dead plug . just pull that one out and put the jumper in that

 

i know there is a site that lists all the codes also...don't know what it is though, sorry. search should find it, good luck
